It nestles on the Quinte shore
Where the ghosts of Rathbun linger
An old town steeped in history
Of a golden era past.
Stark vestiges dot the shoreline
Of a once so busy port
Little semblance left of industries
That flourished long ago.
Land claims never settled
Leave us in a state of limbo
With a future left uncertain
We hope for better things
Where revival is so dependent
On factors beyond our solving
In our sleepy little town.
